M&M’s are 75 years old this month. At the beginning of WWII the military requested Mars make chocolate for the troops that would not melt. The candy’s hard exterior meant the chocolate didn’t melt and was perfect for overseas travel. The classic chocolate candy has continues to “melt in our mouths and not in our hands” for 75 years. Mars is looking forward to maintain its place as “the iconic and beloved chocolate brand,” and is launching its largest marketing campaign to date: Celebrate With M.
