Dragons love tacos. They love chicken tacos, beef tacos, great big tacos, and teeny tiny tacos. So if you want to lure a bunch of dragons to your party, you should definitely serve tacos. Buckets and buckets of tacos. Unfortunately, where there are tacos, there is also salsa. And if a dragon accidentally eats spicy salsa . . . oh, boy…

Many people are visual learners! Art is a language of visual images that everyone must learn to read. Ask students to design and illustrate their very own step-by-step illustration for making a food they love! It’s totally fun to illustrate your own recipe! Give it a try and share your class’s creativity on your blog or website!
Share the They Draw and Cook website and the story about They Draw and Cook with your students! The creators, Nate and Salli, came up with the idea of They Draw & Cook while on a family vacation! Nate was trying to recreate a favorite dish – fettucine with figs in a balsamic butter sauce – while Salli sat at the counter with her watercolors painting the crate of figs. This led them to realize how fun it was to illustrate food. They then started talking about creating a little recipe book for friends, family, and clients. They asked some of their artist pals to help, but never got enough recipes to justify printing a book, so Nate built a quick blog and Salli started to spread the word – it spread fast!
Nate and Sallie have published three books and are constantly looking for artists to submit new recipes! Go here to learn how to submit a recipe! You may even win a hundred dollars!
