St. Patrick’s Day is a very festive holiday and is celebrated annually on March 17th. The Irish have observed this religious holiday for thousands of years. St. Patrick’s Day is widely recognized and celebrated with Irish festivals, parades, food like corn beef and cabbage, and prominently displaying the color green!
The shamrock is the most identifiable symbol of Ireland. Shamrock comes from the Irish Gaelic word Seamrog, a word that refers to the plant’s three leaves.
